Big Ten teams to play 20-match conference schedule
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced the complete opponent rotation for all 18 schools for the 2025 volleyball season on Thursday. Each member institution will play a 20-match conference schedule against all 17 conference opponents, meeting three member institutions both home and away and playing the 14 remaining schools once. Double play opponents were determined with consideration for competitive balance, geography and rivalries.
Nebraska and Penn State shared the Big Ten title in 2024, and the Nittany Lions went on to win the program’s eighth national title, defeating Louisville, 3-1 at the KFC Yum! Center. Nebraska met Penn State in the National Semifinal, advancing to the program’s seventh national semifinal in the past 10 seasons. Overall, nine Big Ten teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2024.
