CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State softball team has welcomed four new student-athletes on National Signing Day, as announced by head coach Laura Berg.
Harmony Andrade
Utility • Surprise, Ariz. • Willow Canyon HS
Playing all over the diamond, Andrade has had a near-perfect fielding percentage at .950 and committed just five errors in her career to date. At the plate, she’s put up a .459 average in 299 appearances, clubbed 12 homers and driven in 66 runs, including 28 in her junior season.
Paige Bambarger
Infield • Murrieta, Calif. • Murrieta Mesa HS
A three-year starter for Murrieta Mesa High School, Bamberger will bring a big bat to Corvallis, where she’s put together a .378 average with 85 hits in 82 games played. She’s coming off her best offensive season after a .444 mark with six homers, 29 RBI and 36 hits from 81 trips to the plate. In the field, she’s been quite strong as well – an .880 fielding percentage, even .903 in her junior season.
Hannah Moreno
Utility • Alhambra, Calif. • St. Paul HS
A strong contributor on both sides, Hannah Moreno will be bringing a strong offensive skillset and a dependable glove to Kelly Field. Tallying a .925 fielding percentage as a three-year starter and has committed just 15 errors in 201 chances. At the plate, she’s racked up a .432 average at the dish thanks to 121 hits from 20 homers, 38 doubles and seven triples to just 30 strikeouts in 311 trips to the plate.
Isabella Valdez
Infield • Visalia, Calif. • Redwood HS
A three-year standout for Redwood High, she has been strong in the field where she’s tallied 161 putouts to just 19 errors in the last two seasons. At the plate, she’s collected 68 hits – including 29 as a sophomore -, driven in 49 runs and blasted a few home runs.
