EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon softball program will host the inaugural Jane Sanders Classic presented by Graduate Hotels this coming spring.
The Ducks will welcome 2023 national runner-up Florida State to Eugene, as well as Maryland, Mount St. Mary’s and Washington for the Feb. 29-March 2 tournament.
“We are thrilled to partner with Graduate Hotels to be able to bring some of the best teams from around the nation to The Jane,” said coach Melyssa Lombardi. “The elite competition in this tournament is going to be exciting to watch and I think our fans are going to really enjoy being a part of that.”
There will be four games each day. Washington will open the tournament on Feb. 29 with games against Mount St. Mary’s and Maryland. Host Oregon will also play those same opponents later in the day.
Mount St. Mary’s will play back-to-back games with Washington and Florida State on March 1. The Seminoles will then play Maryland before the Ducks face the Terrapins in the nightcap.
Washington and Florida State open the final day of the tournament on March 2, followed by Mount St. Mary’s versus Maryland.
Oregon will take on Florida State in game three on March 2, following by the Ducks and Mount St. Mary’s to round out the event.
This will be Florida State’s first trip to Eugene since 2017, when No. 5 Oregon swept No. 2 Florida State in a three-game series. This will be the first trip to Jane Sanders Stadium for both Maryland and Mount St. Mary’s. Washington and Oregon will play a Pac-12 series in Eugene later in the 2024 season.
