HISTORIC START

With a 17-9 victory over undefeated Rider on Friday, Oregon improved to 4-0 and matched the best start to a season in program history (2018). After suffering its first loss of the season to No. 22 Rutgers on the road on Sunday, Oregon looks to rebound with a stretch of a three games at home.

QUACK ATTACK

Oregon’s attack has been in good form to begin the season, averaging 15.20 goals per game which leads the Pac-12 and is top 20 nationally. The Ducks are firing 35.60 shots per game (eighth nationally) and are putting an average of 26.40 shots on target (ninth nationally). Morgan McCarthy (18), Lauren Rismani (19) and Anna Simmons (20) are each among the top 10 in the Pac-12 for points.

• Oregon has scored 15-or-more goals in four of its five games this season.

McCARTHY MAGIC

Senior midfielder Morgan McCarthy continues to be a leading presence for Oregon after being named an All-Pac-12 second-team selection for a second consecutive season in 2023. McCarthy led Oregon with career-highs in goals (37) and points (40) and looks primed for another impressive year with 13 goals in five games thus far.

• Has scored three-straight hat tricks and four total this season.
• 10 goals away from scoring 100 in her career.
• Named the Feb. 27 Pac-12 Offensive POTW after netting five goals and assisting two against Marist.
• One of 10 players in UO history with 50 career goals and 100 draw controls.
• Led Oregon in draw controls (44), points (40) and goals (37) as a junior in 2023.
• Fourth in program history with 140 career draw controls.

SOPHOMORE STUD

Sophomore midfielder Anna Simmons has been on a tear to open the season for Oregon. The youngest of the Ducks’ six team captains has scored 16 goals through five games, already doubling her season total of eight in 2023. Simmons’ goal total ranks third in the Pac-12, while her 20 points are tied for fourth.

• Scored a hat trick in each of Oregon’s first three games.
• Forced a career high five turnovers against No. 22 Rutgers.
• Broke the program record for fastest goal, scoring in five seconds against Marist.
• Scored six goals against Saint Francis, one shy of tying the single-game program record.

DRAW CONTROLLER

Oregon midfielder Rachel Pallo made history by breaking the program’s single-game draw control record in back-to-back games, recording 11 against Saint Francis (Feb. 16) and reeling in 12 against Marist (Feb. 25). Pallo has dominated the draw control this season, totaling 32 to lead the Ducks in the category.

• Ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 32 draw controls this season.
• Recorded five games with 3-or-more draw controls in 2023, and has four such games in 2024.
• The second Duck in program history to record two career games with 10-or-more draw controls.
