EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon acrobatics and tumbling looks to bounce back from a loss to No. 1 Baylor as they travel to face sixth-ranked Azusa Pacific on Tuesday at 7 p.m. PT. The Ducks are currently fourth in the NCATA standings and are seeking their third win of the year as they close out the regular season.

THE DUCKS vs. COUGARS
This will be the 23rd all-time meeting between the Cougars and the Ducks, with the latter owning the all-time series 21-1. Oregon has won three of the last four meetings and defeated Azusa Pacific twice last season, including a 272.510-269.275 victory on the road.
LAST TIME OUT
No. 4 Oregon put together a valiant effort in the tumbling event to cut into the lead of No. 1 Baylor late, but the Bears prevailed in the team event and won 274.915-266.595 at Matthew Knight Arena. The top-ranked Bears put together solid performances in the compulsory event to put the Ducks behind early, but a late push saw UO win the tumbling event 55.875-55.075 and draw itself closer entering the final event of the night. Oregon grouped together to deliver a team event performance that brought the MKA crowd to its feet, but in the end it was not enough to push past Baylor.
SWEEPING THE AWARDS
Oregon swept the weekly NCATA awards as Cami Wilson was named Athlete of the Week, Makena Carrion named Specialist of the Week and Bella Swarthout named Freshman of the Week for their performances against Hawaii Pacific on March 24. Each of the three Ducks were involved in the third heat of the pyramid event in which Oregon notched a perfect 10. Wilson competed in 10 heats and the team event, logging nine scores of 9.60 or higher. Carrion earned specialist honors for her performances in the pyramid event, competing as a top to help Oregon score 10.0 in the open pyramid and 9.80 in the synchronized pyramid. Swarthout was recognized for competing in four heats and the team event, scoring 9.70 or higher in each.
1-2 PUNCH
Oregon’s pyramid and toss events have been anchors for the Ducks, combining for a record of 7-3 in the events this season including a 4-1 record in the toss. Oregon has scored above 29.00 in the pyramid event in each meet, highlighted by a 29.60 against Hawaii Pacific on March 24. The Ducks have surpassed a score of 28.50 in each meet in the toss event and have been particularly effective in the third heat, scoring above 9.70 in four of five meets this season.
