CORVALLIS, Ore. – Logan Hulon was named the Pac-12’s Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon. It marks her first Pac-12 honor in her career.
The righty from Dripping Springs, Texas threw a complete game shutout against 12th-ranked UCLA yesterday, where she fanned five and allowed just two hits. Holding onto a 1-0 lead late over the Bruins, she took charge late with two punchouts in the sixth before a 1-2-3 seventh to seal the upset.
Sunday marked Hulon’s seventh game with five or more strikeouts and the second consecutive Pac-12 start with at least five.
Hulon and the Beavs will conclude a season-long six-game homestand at Kelly Field by welcoming sixth-ranked Stanford this weekend. The first game against the Cardinal is slated for 4 p.m. and can be seen on Pac-12 Insider and the OSU Live Stream.
