EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon acrobatics and tumbling was selected as the No. 4 seed for the 2024 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championships the organization announced on Monday afternoon.
The Ducks – who average 269.409 total points per meet – will face fifth-seeded University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, April 25 at 1:30 p.m. PT. This year’s NCATA championships are being held at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, W. Va. The semifinal and final rounds will take place on Friday and Saturday, respectively, followed by the event finals on Sunday.
This marks the first all-time meeting between the Ducks and the Cru (9-1), who won the DIII Invitational this past weekend and are making their first NCATA Tournament appearance in program history. Oregon has qualified for each NCATA Tournament in the 13 years of the competition and is looking to capture its first national title since 2013. The Ducks have won 52 individual event titles in their history, including the trio tumbling pass and the six-element tumbling pass in last season’s installment.
