EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon football dominated headlines throughout the final day of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday as six Ducks went off the board to give UO a new program record with eight total selections. Oregon saw five players get drafted in the fourth round, including four Ducks in a span of 10 picks early in the day. Wide receiver Troy Franklin was the first in the flurry of Oregon selections, going to the Denver Broncos with the No. 102 overall pick to set up a reunion with quarterback Bo Nix, who was the No. 12 overall pick on Thursday. Defensive back Khyree Jackson went to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 108, and defensive end Brandon Dorlus followed immediately at No. 109 to the Atlanta Falcons. Defensive back Evan Williams was taken by the Green Bay Packers just two picks later at No. 111, and running back Bucky Irving went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14 picks later at No. 125. Inside linebacker rounded out Oregon’s 2024 NFL Draft class in the sixth round, when the Houston Texans selected him with the No. 188 overall pick. Oregon broke the previous program record of six draftees, which had been done three times and last matched in 2023. Jackson Powers-Johnson, who was selected in the second round by the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday, was on hand for Oregon’s annual Spring Game on Saturday at Autzen Stadium. “You’re so thrilled for people that work their tails off for an opportunity and compete so hard for the Oregon Ducks,” head coach Dan Lanning said. “For that to turn into future success for them, that’s something we’re really excited about. Those guys put blood, sweat and tears into their efforts here and I know that’s going to carry over well. There’s some NFL teams getting really good players.”
