OSU SB: Donahue, Hogue Join Beavs Ahead of ’25

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Head coach Laura Berg and the Oregon State softball program has added a pair of student-athletes ahead of the 2025 season: Nikki Donahue and Tessa Hogue.

Nikki Donahue
Catcher
Honolulu, Hawaii (UT Arlington)

A leader for UT Arlington in the batter’s box, Donahue comes to Corvallis with a strong bat. The Honolulu native checked in with a .308 average at the plate and complemented it with a .452 slugging mark behind 32 hits, nine doubles and two homers. On defense, she tallied a .980 fielding percentage behind just three errors on 153 chances.

She finished February with a combined 5-for-5 mark at the plate across the month’s final three games, including a 3-for-3 game in which she drove in three and roped a double.

During her prep days, she helped lead Athletics Nielsen to winning the 2021 Arizona PGF qualifier. In the classroom, she was consistently on the honor roll at the Kamehameha Schools.

Tessa Hogue
Outfield
Riverton, Utah (Riverton HS)

Fresh off being named the Utah 6A Playoff Most Valuable Player and third state championship in four years, Hogue will join the Oregon State squad. During Riverton High’s postseason run, she had a hot bat – a .527 average at the dish – and showed speed on the base paths – 38 stolen bases – to cap off a strong high school career.

In her senior season, she drove in 26 runs on 59 hits – five doubles, four triples and three homers – in 112 trips to the plate.

Hogue and her Riverton squad won 6A state crowns in 2021 and 2022 as well.
