CORVALLIS, Ore. – Following four weeks in California and Arizona, the Oregon State softball team will make their 2025 debut in the Beaver State this weekend.
The Beavers are scheduled for four games at the Jane Sanders Classic in Eugene, hosted by Oregon at Jane Sanders Stadium from Friday to Sunday. Oregon State will face no. 19 Florida State, 12th-ranked Oregon and complete the weekend against Abilene Christian.
By The Numbers
2: Florida State is the second ACC opponent this season for the Beavers. Last month, Oregon State faced California in Long Beach, Calif.
3: Oregon State is 3-0 when scoring 10 or more runs in a game this season.
4: By Saturday’s end, the Beavers will have played four against teams in the top-12.

LOOKBACK ON WEEKEND FOUR
• Oregon State went 3-2 at the ASU/GCU Invitational last weekend.
• The weekend ended with a 6-3 win in eight over Arizona State in Tempe.
• The Beavers split meetings with the Sun Devils but defeated Seattle U and Utah State. In the other away game, Oregon State dropped a heart-breaking 1-0 loss to Grand Canyon.
ATOP THE WCC
• OSU is all over the top (or at least near it) in the stats for the WCC.
• With a team ERA of 3.40 and 96 strikeouts, the Beavers’ arms lead the league in both categories.
• Hulon leads the conference with 61 Ks, as well as a WCC-high 18 looking strikeouts.
• Hulon’s 10 Ks is the most in a single game this season among WCC arms.
• With 62 at-bats to her name, Jaeya Butler is fourth in the WCC while Morgan Howey is right behind in fifth with 61.
• Butler and Howey sit third and fifth in the league, respectively, with 14 and 13 runs scored this season so far
ATLANTIC TO PACIFIC
• Following a meeting with California last month, Florida State is the second ACC opponent on Oregon State’s schedule.
• 2025 is the first time the Beavs have met multiple ACC opponents in the same season since 2014 when NC State and Virginia were on the schedule.
• Notre Dame was the lone ACC opponent for the Beavs in 2024, they met in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
• Oregon State didn’t meet an ACC foe in the 2018-23 seasons. Prior to that stretch, OSU met NC State in the Mary Nutter Classic.
WELCOME WELCOME!
• 18 new student-athletes joined the Oregon State program for the 2025 campaign.
• The new Beavs are from all over the country, spanning from Hawai’i (Donahue – Honolulu) to the New York City suburbs of New Jersey (Weir – Wayne, N.J.) and everywhere in between.
WCC ACCOLADES
• Campbell and Donahue were tabbed to the preseason all-conference team by the WCC.
• Oregon State was selected by the league’s coaches to finish third in the six-team conference.
TOUGH TESTS IN THE NONCON AGAIN
• The Beavers will have seven tests against teams in the initial top 25 of the 2025 season.
• Oregon State will face #5 Tennessee, #12 Florida State (twice), #21 California and #24 Oregon (three times) in nonconference play.
Beaver Staff Notes
• Familiar faces will be all over the Oregon State dugout in 2025.
• Entering her 13th year, Laura Berg will lead the Oregon State softball program.
• Marcie Green will direct the pitching staff for the second season of her second stint with the program. She ended her first with the trip to the Women’s College World Series in 2022.
• Working primarily with the fielders and hitters, Matt Lisle is on Berg’s staff for the second year. Lisle joined Oregon State following experience across college softball, baseball and even MLB’s Chicago White Sox.
• Starting his journey from student manager in 2018, Dominic Garcia enters his second year as a member of the coaching staff. The Beaver alumnus worked his way up to head student manager to video coordinator in 2023 and will oversee player development, technology and data.
• Entering her fourth year with the program is Sarah Hoechlin, who serves as the Director of Operations. The OSU alumna spent two years as a student manager before a stint with the Corvallis Knights.
LOOKING AHEAD
• The Beavers will take Kelly Field for the first time in 2025 with four on tap.
• Sacramento State will be the first visitors of the year when they visit March 15-16 as part of the WCC/Big Sky Crossover.
• Oregon State will play host to a rematch with Rutgers just two days later. Last month, the Beavers defeated the Scarlet Knights by a 3-0 score in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, Ca.
• For the Beavers, it will be the second B1G opponent of the month following the road game against Oregon.
