Aiva Arquette Named Golden Spikes Player Of The Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Aiva Arquette has been named the Golden Spikes Player of the Week, USA Baseball announced on Monday.

The Oregon State junior infielder helped Oregon State to a 4-0, going 11-for-17 (.647) with four home runs, 12 runs scored, 11 runs batted in and four walks. He amassed a .714 on-base percentage as the Beavers went 4-0 against UCLA and CSUN, adding a 1.352 slugging percentage.

Arquette capped his massive offensive week with six hits in the finale at CSUN, which equaled Justin Boyd’s program record set in 2022. Arquette drove in five runs in the win thanks to a solo home run and grand slam, scoring five runs in the process.

The shortstop homered in all three games against the Matadors, and totaled 11 runs scored in the series.

He opened the week with a 2-for-4 effort as OSU beat then-No. 10 UCLA. Arquette hit a three-run home run in the opener versus CSUN, then totaled a 2-for-4 effort in the second, scoring three runs.

Arquette now leads the Beavers with 15 home runs and 49 RBI on the year. His 15 home runs tie him for seventh in a single-season at Oregon State.
