ANDREA (AJ) ZAHN ANNOUNCED AS ROSE QUARTER GENERAL MANAGER 

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 7, 2023) – Andrea (AJ) Zahn has been named General Manager of the Rose Quarter, it was announced today by Dewayne Hankins, Portland Trail Blazers President of Business Operations. In her role, Zahn will oversee and manage all operations of Moda Center, Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and the overall Rose Quarter campus.  

Zahn brings more than 15 years of experience in Operations, Guest Experience, Hospitality, Construction and Facilities to the Portland Trail Blazers and Rip City Management.  She began her career with the Ritz-Carlton in Washington D.C., where her passion for taking care of guests began. That passion has carried through her growing career with organizations like Merrill Lynch, Peloton, and the Milwaukee Bucks. 

“I am happy to welcome AJ Zahn as the new General Manager of Rip City Management and the Rose Quarter campus,” said Hankins. “AJ brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the venue management space and her expertise in guest services will be beneficial to our staff and fans. We’re excited to bring her aboard as we continue a busy year at the Rose Quarter.”

Zahn will oversee and manage Rip City Management, including booking, operations, security, guest experience, sustainability, conversions, parking and traffic, and more. She comes to Portland after most recently serving as the Global Vice President of Studio Operations, Experience, and Facilities for Peloton in New York. While at Peloton, AJ led the construction build on both Peloton Live Broadcast Studios in New York and London, created and implemented a culture-of-service program, navigated COVID-19 procedures, opened the studios to the public, and led retail, food and beverage, guest services, production, stagehands, facilities, and operations in both studios.
