EUGENE, Ore. – As part of its 2024 schedule, the Oregon volleyball team will have 13 home matches and face nine teams that played in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Ducks’ season—and first as a member of the Big Ten Conference—begin Aug. 30 when they host Pittsburgh at Matthew Knight Arena.
The season opener will be part of the Oregon Invitational, a three-day round robin that will also feature Long Beach State. The non-conference slate also includes tournaments hosted by Colorado State (Sept. 6-8) and San Diego (Sept. 13-14), and a pair of in-state matches: a road contest at Portland State (Sept. 18) and a home date with Oregon State (Sept. 22).
Along with Pittsburgh, the Ducks will face NCAA Tournament teams Grand Canyon (Sept. 7) and BYU (Sept. 13) in neutral-site matches.
Oregon’s Big Ten home opener is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27, against Illinois. The team will turn right around to host Indiana the next day. All times and TV selections for Big Ten Conference matches will be announced at a later date.
The league opponent rotation was released in February, and now complete with dates, the Ducks’ home conference schedule also includes USC (Oct. 9), Washington (Oct. 13), Maryland (Oct. 25), Rutgers (Oct. 27), UCLA (Nov. 2), Nebraska (Nov. 7), Northwestern (Nov. 15) and Purdue (Nov. 27).
