Ducks Earn No. 3 Seed at Auburn Regional

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon women’s golf team will make its 16th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance after earning the No. 3 seed in the 2024 Auburn Regional on Wednesday morning.
 
The Ducks – No. 14 in the latest national rankings – have reached an NCAA Regional every year since 2008, excluding the 2019-20 season that was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be the program’s 28th all-time NCAA Regional appearance.
 
Hosted by Auburn, the Auburn Regional will be played at Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala. Play will begin on Monday, May 6, and will run through Wednesday, May 8.
 
Oregon is the No. 3 seed in the 12-team field, with South Carolina as the No. 1 seed, Auburn as the No. 2 seed, Georgia as the No. 4 seed and North Carolina as the No. 5 seed. 
 
The Auburn Regional is one of six around the country, with the top five finishing teams from each site advancing to the 2024 NCAA Championships on May 17-22 atOmni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Oregon is looking to return to the NCAA Championships after falling short at the NCAA Westfield Regional in 2023, following a historic run in 2022 that saw the Ducks finish as the national runners-up.
 
The Ducks enter NCAA Regionals with momentum after a third-place finish yesterday at the 2024 Pac-12 Championships. Oregon was led by star freshman Kiara Romero, the No. 6 ranked player in the nation and all-Pac-12 first-team selection who finished third individually following a stellar 7-under 65 in the final round.

Oregon owns a 70-53-1 competitive record in 2023-24 with one win, at the Molly Collegiate Invitational in the fall.
