EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon soccer team will open the 2023 season by hosting Idaho in an exhibition Friday at noon at Papé Field.
The friendly match is free and open to the public.
The 2023 squad features 15 freshmen, nine sophomores, four juniors and fifth-year senior Jordan Snyder.
Forward Ajanae Respass, a Pac-12 all-freshman team selection last season, returns after leading the Ducks in goals (four) and points (10) a year ago. The Ducks also return starting midfielders Alice Barbieri and Trinity Morales as well as starting defenders Anna Phillips and Anna Emperador.
Morales, Barbieri and Snyder all scored twice for the Ducks last season.
Oregon will open the 2023 regular season by hosting Baylor on Aug. 17.
