Ducks No. 15 In Preseason Coaches Poll

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team came in at No. 15 in the USA Today Sports AFCA preseason coaches poll unveiled on Monday morning.

The Ducks will open the season in the top 15 of the preseason coaches poll for the fifth year in a row, after debuting at No. 12 in 2022. Oregon is one of four Pac-12 teams in the preseason top 15 along with No. 6 USC, No. 11 Washington and No. 14 Utah. In-state rival Oregon State is No. 18, and No. 24 Texas Tech gives the Ducks five 2023 opponents ranked in the preseason top 25.

Oregon will open the 2023 season – its second under head coach Dan Lanning – on Sept. 2 against Portland State in Autzen Stadium. The Ducks will travel to Texas Tech on Sept. 9 and then host Hawai’i on Sept. 16 before opening conference play against Colorado on Sept. 23.

The Ducks are coming off a 10-3 season in the first year under Lanning, capped by a comeback win over North Carolina in the SDCCU Holiday Bowl.
