Ducks To Face Cyclones In Emerald Coast Semifinals

 

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon will face Iowa State on Nov. 27 in one semifinal of the 2020 Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Fla.

Florida and Illinois will play in the first semifinal at 4 p.m. Pacific Time, followed by the Ducks and Cyclones at 6:30 p.m. The championship game on Nov. 29 will tip off at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time at The Arena at Northwest Florida State College with the third place game set for 1 p.m. All four games will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

This will be the first meeting between Oregon and Iowa State, though the two teams did appear together in the 2019 Battle 4 Atlantis. This will be the Ducks’ first appearance in the Emerald Coast Classic.

Northwest Florida State is the alma mater of current Duck senior Chris Duarte and former Duck Elgin Cook.

Oregon, the defending Pac-12 champion, was ranked No. 13 in the final 2019-20 Associated Press poll after posting a 24-7 record. Iowa State went 12-20 last season.

In addition to the semifinals and finals in Florida, first and second-round games will be played at on-campus sites with Oregon, Florida, Illinois and Iowa State serving as hosts. The Ducks will play two of the following among Alabama A&M, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State and North Florida.
