EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon will travel to Clearwater, Fla., to open the 2024 season at the NFCA Leadoff Classic.
The Ducks will play six games in Florida, beginning with Indiana on Feb. 8. Oregon will then face Kansas and Liberty the next day. Both Indiana and Liberty advanced to the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
A second doubleheader is on tap for Feb. 10, with the Ducks playing Missouri State before the marquee matchup of the tournament, a meeting with Clemson. The Tigers went 49-12 last season. Both Oregon and Clemson advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals in 2023.
The Ducks will wrap up the NFCA Leadoff Classic with a single game versus Army on Feb. 11.
Oregon and Indiana have met once previously, a 5-4 Hoosiers’ win in 2010.
The Ducks and Kansas have played 12 times, with Oregon holding a 9-3 series edge. The Ducks won the last meeting between the two schools, 14-5 in 2019, which was also Melyssa Lombardi’s first game as Oregon’s head coach.
This will be the first time Oregon will play Clemson, Liberty and Army. The Ducks last appeared in Clearwater in 2019.
Oregon was also one of 30 teams announced in the field for the 2024 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, which will be played Feb. 22-25 in Cathedral City, Calif. Pairings for the Mary Nutter will be announced at a later date.
