Eugene votes against $15 million bond measure

EUGENE, OR – A significant portion of the funding puzzle to secure the Eugene Emeralds’ long-term future in Lane County was put in jeopardy Tuesday night when the city of Eugene voted against the $15 million bond measure needed for a new multi-use facility at the Fairgrounds.

“This is obviously very discouraging.” Emeralds General Manager Allan Benavides said. “We are going to need to regroup with Lane County and MLB to determine the next steps in light of this news.”
