Fuenmayor Shoots 4-Under To End Trip To La Quinta

LA QUINTA, Calif. – Mateo Fuenmayor shot a 4-under 67 in his third and final round of The Prestige Wednesday as the Oregon State men’s golf team ended its trip to the tournament.

Overall, the Beavers finished 15th with a 2-over 854 at the three-day event, held at the par-71, 7,100-yard at the PGA West Greg Norman Golf Course.

Fuenmayor’s final round push him into the Oregon State lead and he ended the tournament shooting a 1-under 212. His final round was buoyed by a pair of eagles, at the par-5, 566-yard 12th hole and the par-5, 537-yard 17th hole. He ended the trip south tied for 35th.

Nicolas Quintero lowered his round for a second-consecutive day, doing so via five birdies and an eagle. His eagle came at the par-4, 337-yard 11th hole.He ended the day with a 1-under 70 and posted a 213 for the tournament, finishing at par. Quintero tied for 38th.

Jackson Lake tallied a 2-over 73 on Wednesday, and finished tied for 45th via a 1-over 214. He ended the day with three birdies.

Rylan Johnson posted a three birdies on Wednesday and ended the trip at 6-over 219. He tied for 79th.

Collin Hodgkinson, meanwhile, finished with a 5-over 76 over the final 18 holes. He was 11-over at 224 shots overall to tie for 104th.

Stanley Lin competed as an individual and finished at par on Wednesday. He finished with a 3-over 219 and tied for 27th at his event.
