Hodgkinson Leads Oregon State Men’s Golf On First Day In Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. – Collin Hodgkins shot a 4-over 146 over the first 36 holes of the Oregon Duck Invitational to lead the Oregon State men’s golf team on its first day at the Eugene-base event.

The Beavers are tied for 11th after 36 holes, finishing with a 25-over 293 as a team at the par-71, 6,997-yard Eugene Country Club.

Hodgkinson and his teammates Jackson Lake and Brandon Eyre all finished with four birdies on the first day of action. Hodgkinson is tied for 32nd entering the final 18 holes of the event.

Eyre matched Hodgkinson in the second round, finishing at par after opening the day with a 7-over 78. He is tied for 53rd.

Stanley Lin was one shot shy of Eyre, posting an 8-over 150 after day one. The freshman is tied for 58th after connecting on two birdies in the 36 holes.

Nicolas Quintero is tied for 65th and is one shot behind Lin. Quintero posted a 3-over 74 to open the day and heads to Tuesday’s action with two birdies.

Both Lake and Rylan Johnson, competing as an individual, enter the final round of action tied for 73rd. Both opened with a 4-over 75 and completed the day at 12-over par.
