Holden Joins Softball Program

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Melyssa Lombardi announced the Ducks have added catcher/utility player Trinity Holden, a transfer from Portland State, for the 2024 season.

Holden, who will be a sophomore in the spring, started 39 games as a freshman for the Vikings. She hit .260 with four home runs and 23 RBI. Holden was named the Big Sky player of the week after helping lead Portland State to a pair of wins over Saint Martin’s by hitting two home runs and driving in five runs.

The Lebanon, Ore., native was named the 2022 OSAA 5A State Player of the Year for Lebanon High School.

“It’s always a little more special to have someone from Oregon play for the Ducks because you know how much it means to them,” said Lombardi. “We are excited to have Trinity join the program. She is a talented young player who will give us a lot of versatility with the ability to catch behind the plate and also play in the field.”
