EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon outfielder Kedre Luschar has been named the Big Ten Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. It is the first weekly honor for the senior from Carson City, Nev.
Luschar, who was named a USA Softball Player of the Year Top 25 finalist last week, drove in 10 runs last week in four games versus Notre Dame and Michigan State. She had three RBIs in all three games against the Spartans as the Ducks locked up the 2025 Big Ten regular season title.
Her RBI in the sixth inning on Sunday against the Spartans proved to be the difference in the Ducks’ 7-6 win.
She has driven at least one run in six straight games and is on a 10-game hitting streak.
Luschar is hitting a team-best .467 on the season, which ranks third in the Big Ten and eighth nationally. She’s averaging .500 in conference games.
Luschar hit .333 or better in all eight conference series (.857 vs. Rutgers, .636 vs. Minnesota, .571 vs. Michigan State, .444 vs. Michigan and UCLA, .375 vs. Illinois, .364 vs. Indiana and .333 vs. Washington).
She is a perfect 25-for-25 in stolen bases for a 1.000 percentage which leads the NCAA.
Luschar leads the Ducks in both doubles (14) and triples (five).
Top-seeded Oregon opens Big Ten Tournament play Thursday at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of Wednesday’s Michigan-Wisconsin game.
