Lin’s 3-Under Leads Beavers In Duck Invite Finale

EUGENE, Ore. – Stanley Lin had the best round by a Beaver at the Oregon Duck Invitational, posting a 3-under 68 over the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

The true freshman tallied five birdies in the last day of the event to pace the Beavers, who had one of the best team rounds of the day, finishing with a 3-over 287. Oregon State finished the 54-hole event tied for 10th with Colorado. Both teams shot a 29-over 881 at the par-71, 6,997-yard Eugene Country Club.

Lin placed second on the Beavers overall, finishing in a tie for 24th via a 5-over 218. He was one spot behind teammate Collin Hodgkinson, who finished with his second consecutive round at 71 to finish with a 4-over 217 and tie for 20th.

Jackson Lake tallied a 2-over 73 to jump up a handful of spots in the final individual results with a 14-over 227. He tied with teammate Nicolas Quintero, who posted a 4-over 75 on Tuesday. Both finished in a tie for 65th.

Lake made the Beavers’ lone eagle at the event, at the par-5, 554-yard sixth hole.

Brandon Eyre ended the two days in Eugene with a 16-over 229 after posting a 9-over 80 on Tuesday.

Rylan Johnson competed as an individual for the Beavers and joined Lin in shooting under par Tuesday. He finished with a 1-under 70 and 11-over 224 for the tournament. He finished in a tie for 56th.

Oregon State heads to the Bay Area for The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford. It’s a three-day event that gets underway on Thursday morning.
