EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon quarterback Bo Nix and running back Bucky Irving both landed on the preseason watch list for the Walter Camp Player of the Year announced on Friday by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Nix and Irving are among 45 total and six Pac-12 players named to the preseason watch list for the nation’s fourth-oldest individual college football accolade. Oregon is one of nine schools with multiple players included, along with Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas and Washington.
This is the third preseason watch list for Nix, along with the Maxwell Award and the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award. Irving was also named to the Doak Walker Award watch list earlier this week.
