Oregon Back In Action Tonight In Stanford

EUGENE – The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball Team opens Pac-12 Conference play the Bay Area tonight against No. 2 Stanford.

Kelly Graves’ team faces a gauntlet of tough games over the next 10 days starting with their swing through northern California to take on the No. 2 Cardinal, the Bears, and then on to No.4 Arizona, the Sun Devils, and No. 11 UConn.

The Ducks snuck in a quick warm-up game against Carroll College on Sunday, winning 88-57, since games against Utah and Colorado were postponed due to COVID protocols.

Graves said in a press conference on Wednesday that he worked to schedule the last minute game because he didn’t want the team’s first action to be against Stanford following the unexpected extended break.

Oregon is playing its second game against a top-2 team this year (No. 1 South Carolina) and is looking for its first ever win over a team ranked either No. 1 or 2.
