IRVING, Texas – Oregon State redshirt senior Andrzej Hughes-Murray has been named a semifinalist for the prestigious William V. Campbell Trophy, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.
The honor is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate football scholar-athlete who shows combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.
It is the third consecutive year Hughes-Murray has been named a semifinalist. He is a four-time Pac-12 academic selection; as a 2017 and 2018 All-Academic Honorable Mention selection and in 2019 and 2020 as an Academic Honor Roll pick. He was also a 2019 Wuerffel Trophy Award watch list member, a selection to the 2020 Comeback Player of the Year watch list as well as a nominee for the 2021 AFCA Good Works Team.
On the field, the outside linebacker has competed in 41 career games for the Beavers, making 28 starts. He has 115 tackles with eight sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss.

To be eligible for the selection as the 2021 William V. Campbell Trophy winner, semifinalists must maintain at least a 3.2 grade point average and be a senior or graduate student in their final year of playing eligibility.
