Oregon State’s Massey One of 30 Candidates for Senior CLASS Award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Oregon State Volleyball’s Grace Massey has been named as one of 30 candidates for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award, it was announced on Thursday.

To be eligible for the honor, candidates, who are nominated by their respective schools, must be a Division I senior or graduate student and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

Massey, a Beaverton, native, has been the key libero for the Beavers since stepping on campus as a freshman, appearing in 112 career matches. In that time, she has recorded 1,943 career digs to sit second on OSU’s career list and only 87 away from clinching the record. Earlier this season, she tied a career-best with 33 digs against SIUE to set a three-set digs record.

Off the field, she is a two-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll honoree, received OSU’s Academic Excellence Award and was named a to the 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. She is one of the representatives for OSU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and traveled with Beavers Without Borders in 2019 to the Dominican Republic.
