CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women’s rowing team has announced its schedule for the upcoming spring.
The slate includes three races at Dexter Lake, including the Pac-12 Championships on May 15. The Beavers begin the season with their annual CRASH Beavs indoor erg competition on Feb. 26 inside the Truax in Corvallis.
On March 20, Oregon State welcomes Washing State before hosting the Dexter Lake Invite on April 23 – Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Portland and San Diego are amongst the competitors.
The Orange & Black open the month of April in Las Vegas, Nev. on April 9-10 for the Pac-12 Invite followed by a six-team round robin race in Iowa City on April 30.
The Beavers are looking to earn their first bid to the NCAA Championships since 2009. The three-day event will be held May 27-29 in Sarasota, Fla.
2021 Fall Recap – The Beavers competed in a fall regatta at the Head of Spokane, which was hosted by Gonzaga back on Oct. 23 for the first time since 2019.
– The Varsity 8+s boat consisting of Zoe Adamson, Maeve Donnelly, Amelia Sabin, Sierra Bishop, Muryn Greene, Gretchen Thompson, Hannah Robinson, Jane Smeins, and coxed by Nicki Shultz took first with a 16:28 time winning the first flight’s varsity eight race. Two other Beaver boats finished sixth (17:21) and 10th (20:33) at the Head of Spokane.
– Oregon State raced three Varsity 4+s that clocked in at 19:40 for a fourth-place finish followed by 19:56 (sixth) and 20:52 (eighth).
– Donnelly and Adamson guided OSU’s A pair to a second-place finish, as the Beaver duo crossed at 20:26. Bishop and Greene took fourth after clocking a 20:30 race. Three other 2-s Beaver boats raced, taking sixth, eight and 11th on the day.
