#OregonGolf: Chacon, Lu Make History As All-Pac-12 Selections

STANFORD – Sophomore Briana Chacon and freshman Hsin-Yu (Cynthia) Lu each received all-Pac-12 recognition on Sunday, giving the Oregon women’s golf team two first-team all-conference selections for the first time in program history.

Chacon and Lu are the fourth and fifth Oregon players ever to land on the all-conference first team, joining Caroline Inglis (2014-15), Cassy Isagawa (2011-12) and Paula Patterson (1996-97). They are two of six underclassmen on the 12-player team, and Lu is one just two freshmen.

Currently the No. 26 ranked player in the nation, Chacon has been stellar for the Ducks as a sophomore. She led Oregon at the Pac-12 Championships this weekend in a tie for fifth place individually, her fifth consecutive top-10 finish. The Whittier, Calif., native closed the conference tournament with a 3-under 68, her fourth straight par-or-better round and ninth in her last 12 rounds.
