#OregonHoops: Ducks Sign Lobos Transfer Ahlise Hurst

EUGENE — Oregon women’s basketball head coach Kelly Graves continued to add to the Ducks’ 2021-22 roster on Friday, officially announcing the signing of transfer guard Ahlise Hurst.

Hurst will join Oregon after spending the first three seasons of her career at New Mexico, where she averaged 11.1 points per game in 80 appearances. She is the second signing this week for the Ducks, who welcomed Georgia State transfer Taylor Hosendove to the program on Wednesday.

A native of Bendigo, Australia, Hurst will be a senior for the Ducks in 2021-22 with two years of eligibility available.

“We are really excited about adding Ahlise to our program,” said Graves. “She is a versatile player and a great shooter who has the ability to take over games and have some really big scoring nights. She fits well with our team, and her experience and leadership will be really valuable. Our fans are going to love watching her play. We can’t wait for her to get here and get started.”

Hurst owns 44 career double-figure scoring performances, including 12 in 18 games as a junior in 2020-21. She has scored 20 points or more eight times in her career, headlined by a 39-point performance vs. Oklahoma as a freshman in 2018-19. She went 14-of-24 from the floor and 9-of-17 from three-point range in that game, breaking the program’s single-game scoring record.
