EUGENE – Oregon announced the addition of transfer Kailee Luschar to next year’s incoming class. Luschar spent the fall at Arizona State and will join the program during the fall of 2021.
“Kailee is an extremely versatile athlete and will help us at numerous positions on the field,” said assistant coach Justin Shults. “She will add a strong left-handed bat and will provide power and speed for us.”
As a senior at Carson High School, Luschar was named the Nevada Gatorade State Player of the Year following the shortened 2020 season. She also earned PGF Western Region All-America honors in 2020 after finishing her high school career with a .510 batting average and 90 stolen bases to go along with a .580 on-base percentage and 11 home runs.
Luschar was named to the Nevada Preps All-State second-team following her junior season in 2019. She hit .579 with four homers, 26 RBIs and 44 runs scored while stealing 35 bases and finishing with a .633 on-base percentage. Luschar had a hit in all but one of her 28 games played while recording multiple hits 20 times.
