EUGENE, Ore. – Thomas Osborne has been named volunteer assistant coach for the Ducks’ women’s soccer program, head coach Graeme Abel announced on Monday.
Osborne comes to Eugene after spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at Columbus State, where the Cougars were 31-8-2 during his tenure, including an 18-1-2 mark in 2018, when CSU won the Peach Belt Conference with a 10-0 record. That squad advanced to the 2018 NCAA Division II Tournament quarterfinals.
“We are very fortunate to add someone like Thomas to our staff,” said Abel. “He has been mentored and evolved alongside some first-class coaches and his reputation within the collegiate and pro game is excellent. While at Limestone, Osborne was named to the United Soccer Coaches association all-Southeast Region second team, the D2CCA all-Southeast Region first team, and the all-Conference Carolinas first team as a senior.
Osborne also spent a summer interning with the NWSL’s Orlando Pride working with the goalkeepers.
The Summerville, S.C., native graduated from Limestone with a Bachelor’s of business in sports management and business management in 2018. He added a Master’s Degree from Columbus State in 2020.
