PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon State women’s soccer fell in its regular season finale on Saturday, as the Portland Pilots claimed a 1-0 victory at Merlo Field.
McKenna Martinez, who finished the game with three shots, nearly found the leveling goal with 15 minutes remaining, finding a window and firing to the near post but was kept out by a diving Pilot goalkeeper.
Carly Carraher and Valerie Tobias both finished with two shots as the Beavers finished with nine in total, three of which were on target. In net, Mya Sanchez made five saves, increasing her season total to a WCC-leading 92 this season with a save percentage of 78.0.
Rin Choi made the first start of her Oregon State career and played all 90 minutes while Megin Turi finished with one shot in 24 minutes off the bench, her first action since the Beavers’ 1-1 draw against then-ranked No. 20 Pepperdine on Oct. 26.
After entering the week in a three-way tie for first place in the conference, the Beavers’ season same to a close with a 7-9-2 record, a three-win improvement from 2023.
