  • Reigning national player of the week showed no signs of slowing down, leading ASU to a historic road sweep of Stanford and a 3-1 record for the week while batting .611 on 11-of-18 hitting
  • Homered 3 times on the Farm and recorded 8 RBI
  • 3 or more hits in each game of the series and 5 extra-base hits total, adding 2 doubles to the 3 homers for a 1.222 slugging percentage and scoring 6 runs
  • Homered as a left-handed hitter on Friday and twice as a right-handed hitter on Saturday, pacing an ASU offense that scored double digit runs in all 3 games at the Sunken Diamond for the first road sweep in program history against the Cardinal
  • Had 4 hits in ASU’s 16-run effort on Sunday that was the most ASU has ever scored at the Sunken Diamond in program history
  • Was 8-for-8 on defensive chances with 1 outfield assist
  • 2nd straight week winning this award, 1st Sun Devil to win it back-to-back since Ethan Long in 2021
  • 3rd straight week a Sun Devil has been named Player of the Week and second Sun Devil to win twice this season (Ryan Campos)
  • Becomes first of the 3 McLain brothers to win this honor multiple times.  2 older brothers:  UCLA’s Matt McLain won in March 2020 while ASU’s Sean McLain won in April 2022

» 1 GS, 1 CG, 1-0, 9.0 IP, 1.00 ERA, 3 H, 1 ER, 8 K, 2 BB, 8.0 K/9, 0.56 WHIP

  • Became the first Utah pitcher since 2008 to throw multiple complete games in a season after his performance in Utah’s win vs. #19 Arizona (May 10).  1 of 2 Pac-12 pitchers with multiple CG this season (Arizona’s Clark Candiotti)
  • Surrendered just 1 run on 3 hits and a pair of walks while striking out 8 Wildcats; his 2nd straight outing with 8 K
  • Allowed only a walk in the first 3.2 innings of the game, then worked around a 2-out triple to get out of the 4th inning still in a scoreless game
  • The leadoff batter never reached in 9 innings and Arizona only had 2 hits with 2 outs
  • Lowered his ERA to 2.80 overall (2nd in the Pac-12) and 2.43 in conference play (3rd in Pac-12; 2nd among starters)
  • 9th start this season of 6+ innings and 6th in a row; Utah is 7-2 in those games
  • 2nd time being honored this season, having captured it previously on April 15
  • 1st Utah pitcher to ever win this award multiple times and just the 4th in school history to be honored – Nick Green (2014), Jayson Rose (2015), Matthew Sox (2022)
