Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva – March 4, 2024

The Pac-12 announced its 17th weekly honors of the 2023-24 men’s basketball season as presented by Nextiva and voted on by media who cover the league. See below for this week’s recognitions and keep track of the 2023-24 Player of the Year watchlist here

Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Nextiva (3/4/24)          
Deivon Smith, UTAH              
Sr., G, Decatur, Ga.

  • Averaged a double-double of 15.5 points and 11.5 assists along with 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in a home sweep of the Bay Area schools by an average of 25.5 points. 
  • Shot 69 percent from the field (11-16), including 3-of-5 behind the arc. 
  • Recorded his third triple-double of league play with 13 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds in a 90-69 rout of Stanford. 
  • He is the first Pac-12 player with a trio of triple-doubles in one season since 2003-04 (Andre Iguodala, Arizona), and joins only California’s Jason Kidd in 1993-94 to post three triple-doubles against Conference opponents. 
  • Closed week with an 18-point, 10-assist double-double in an 88-59 dismantling of California. 
  • Second Pac-12 Player of the Week honor (1/22/24); he joins teammate Branden Carlson with multiple honors this season – only the ninth time since 1979-80 teammates have received multiple POTW in same season and first since Oregon in 2019-20.

Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Freshman of the Week, presented by Nextiva (3/4/24)          
Isaiah Collier, USC          
Fr., G, Atlanta, Ga.

  • Powered USC to a road split through Washington, averaging 27.5 points on 62 percent shooting (23-37) in just 29.0 minutes per game. 
  • Led all players with 24 points (9-17 FG) and added four rebounds, two assists and two steals in a narrow 75-72 loss at No. 19 Washington State. 
  • Went off for career-best 31 points (14-20 FG, 3-5 3FG), including eight of Trojans’ final 10, to will USC to 82-75 victory at Washington. 
  • Currently paces all Pac-12 freshmen in scoring (16.9 ppg), assists (4.1 apg), steals (1.57 spg) and field goal percentage (49.6%). 
  • Fourth Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award this season (11/13/23, 11/20/23, 1/8/24).
