#PAC12MBB STARTING FIVE

#2 – ARIZONA climbed to No. 2 in the latest AP Men’s Basketball Top 25 poll, marking its highest ranking since closing at No. 2 in the final poll of the 2021-22 season.

  • The Wildcats have now appeared in the AP Top 25 in 40 consecutive and 40-of-42 polls since Tommy Lloyd assumed coaching duties prior to 2021-22, including 32 polls ranked inside the top 10 and 17 inside the top 5.
  • Arizona improved to 2-0 against AP Top 25 opponents this season, including 13-4 under Lloyd, with a 74-68 victory over #21 Michigan State on Thanksgiving Day.

6-0/5-1 – At 6-0, ARIZONA is the lone remaining undefeated Pac-12 program and 1-of-24 unbeatens left in NCAA Division I through Nov. 27 games.

  • The Wildcats are off to a 6-0 start for the third consecutive year and fourth time in five seasons (started 9-0 in 2019-20, 11-0 in 2021-22, 6-0 in 2022-23).
  • COLORADO is 5-1 for the 11th time in 12 seasons (started 11-1 in 2015-16, 10-1 in 2013-14, 8-1 in 2018-19, 7-1 in 2012-13, 2017-18 & 2019-20, 6-1 in 2021-22 & 2020-21, 5-1 in 2014-15 & 2016-17).
  • WASHINGTON STATE is off to a 5-1 start for the third time in the past four seasons (started 9-1 in 2020-21, 6-1 in 2021-22).

8 – The Pac-12 has amassed eight victories against Power Conference opponents through the opening three weeks of the season, with all eight coming away from home.

  • It marks the league’s most victories over Power Conference foes in the opening three weeks of a season since the 2019-20 campaign (8-8).
  • The Conference is also a perfect 3-0 in true road games, most recently UTAH’s 78-71 victory at Saint Mary’s (Calif.) on Nov. 27 for the Runnin’ Utes’ first non-conference road win since Nov. 2019 (79-74 at Nevada, 11/5/19).

10 – USC’s Joshua Morgan set a program record with 10 blocked shots in a 71-63 victory over Seton Hall on Nov. 23.

  • The 10 blocks equal the most in an NCAA Division I contest this season, and were the most by a Pac-12 player since Arizona State’s Jordan Bachynski swatted 12 against CSUN in Dec. 2012.

28 – UCLA currently owns NCAA Division I’s longest home-court win streak with 28 straight victories at Pauley Pavilion.

  • For perspective on the Bruins’ recent home success, the next closest Pac-12 home win streak is four shared by four teams (ARIZ, COLO, OSU, WSU).
  • UCLA 28, Liberty 19, Alabama 19, Louisiana 18, UMass Lowell 18, Oral Roberts 18
