PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Acacia Anders, Jr., INF, California (Vacaville, Calif.) >> 4 G, .500 AVG, 1.063 SLG, 6 RBI, 2 HR

  • Hit .500 (8-of-16) over the weekend, leading the No. 19 Golden Bears to three victories including a series win against No. 21 Arizona.
  • Notched a pair of doubles in the 6-0 win over Sacramento State.
  • Went 3-for-4 with three runs scored in Saturday’s 7-6 win over Arizona, including a two-run home run in the seventh inning which sparked the comeback victory. 
  • Hit another home run in Sunday’s contest (W, 8-7) and went 2-for-4 with two batted in to help Cal clinch the series.
  • First career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for Anders, and second overall after being named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on March 21, 2022.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Morgan Scott, 5th., P, Oregon (Irmo, SC) >> 3 G, 1-0, 1 SV, 9.1 IP, 7 K, 0.00 ERA

  • Saw action in all three games against Arizona State, posting a 1-0 record and one save in the sweep.
  • Began the weekend with a complete game, striking out five over seven innings while allowing no earned runs (W, 3-2).
  • Earned the save in the series-clinching win on Saturday (6-4), going 1.1 innings with one strikeout and no hits allowed.
  • Shut the door in Sunday’s finale, allowing no baserunners in the scoreless seventh inning (W, 5-0).
  • Second career Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week award for Scott (April 24, 2023).

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Kaitlyn Terry, Fr., P/OF, UCLA (Glendale, Ariz.) >> 2G, 1-0, 1 CG, 12.1 IP, 7 K, 0.57 ERA

  • Appeared in two games for No. 14 UCLA over the three-game series at No. 8 Washington, going 1-0 in the circle including a complete-game shutout in Sunday’s finale.
  • Struck out five over 5.1 innings of relief, allowing just one earned (L, 6-5) against the Huskies.
  • Allowed just three baserunners over seven innings, striking out two in Sunday’s victory (6-0).
  • Sunday’s performance was the first complete-game shutout by a UCLA freshman versus a NFCA top-10 opponent since 2017 when Rachel Garcia blanked then-No. 1 Oregon.
  • Second-straight Freshman of the Week award for Terry.
