Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team Announced

SAN FRANCISCO – The 2020-21 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball preseason All-Conference team, as voted on by media covering the league, has been announced ahead of the league’s virtual media day on Tuesday.

OREGON Senior Erin Boley and sophomore Sedona Prince were named to the 15-player preseason all-conference team while the Oregon women’s basketball team was picked to finish the 2020-21 season in the top three in the Pac-12. Sophomore Jaz Shelley and juniors Taylor Chavez and Taylor Mikesell received honorable mention status after being named on four or more ballots for the preseason all-conference team. Oregon leads the league with five total players appearing on at least four ballots.

The Ducks are one of five Pac-12 teams ranked in the preseason AP top-25 poll at No. 10, along with No. 2 Stanford, No. 7 Arizona, No. 9 UCLA and No. 18 Oregon State. The Bruins and Beavers were picked to finish fourth and fifth in the league, respectively, by both the coaches and the media.

ARIZONA, OREGON STATE and STANFORD led the way with three selections each on the 15-member All-Conference Team, a total which mirrors the league’s postseason process. The Wildcats are led by Associated Press preseason All-American Aari McDonald, who makes her second-straight appearance on the league’s early-season list, and Cate Reese and Sam Thomas. OREGON STATE is represented by Kennedy Brown, Aleah Goodman and Taylor Jones, and preseason favorite STANFORD’s selections include Lexie Hull, Haley Jones and Kianna Williams.

UCLA forward and AP preseason All-American Michaela Onyenwere makes a repeat appearance on the list, and is joined by teammate Charisma Osborne. Reigning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Alissa Pili represents USC, and UTAH’s Brynna Maxwell rounds out the All-Conference Team.
