STARTING FIVE

>>  For the 10th time overall, and seventh time in the last eight NCAA Tournaments, at least three Pac-12 teams have advanced to the Sweet 16. Other regional semifinals to include three or more league programs were in 1988 (3), 1992 (3), 2009 (3), 2016 (4), 2017 (5), 2018 (4), 2019 (5), 2021 (3) & 2023 (3).
   >> The Pac-12’s five teams in the Sweet 16 leads all other conferences.
   >> Since 2015-16, the Pac-12 lead all conferences in Sweet 16 appearances (30), non-conference winning percentage (.792), and NCAA Tournament winning percentage (.686).

>>  Stanford’s Tara VanDerveer and USC’s Lindsay Gottlieb are finalists for the Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year award.

>>  Nine Pac-12 players are Region Five Finalists for the 2024 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America team: Colorado’s Jaylyn Sherrod, Oregon State’s Raegan Beers, Stanford’s Cameron Brink & Kiki Iriafen, UCLA’s Lauren BettsCharisma Osborne Kiki Rice, USC’s JuJu Watkins, and Utah’s Alissa Pili.

>>  Watkins was also named a finalist for the Wade Trophy, which is presented by the WBCA to the best player in women’s college basketball.

>>  Brink and Watkins are both finalists for the 2024 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy, as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. The award is bestowed to the most outstanding player in women’s and men’s college basketball, and voting is now open here through April 2.
