TEMPE, Ariz. – Oregon women battled and nearly pulled out the doubles point before dropping the first three decisions of singles play in a 4-0 loss at No. 24 Arizona State Friday in the Pac-12 opener for both teams. The Ducks fell in straight sets at Nos. 4-6 in singles play to give Arizona State the match. Martinez Moral lost in singles for the first time this year, falling 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 while Julia Eshet also lost 6-2, 6-1 and Allison Mulville dropped her match, 6-1, 6-1. Oregon also trailed in the remaining three matches with Kahfiani’s being the most tightly contested at 6-4, 2-2 when the match was clinched.
