Pope Earns Preseason Conference Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State sophomore standout Jordan Pope has been named to the Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference Second Team, the league announced Tuesday.

Pope was a Pac-12 All-Freshman selection last season, after earning Freshman of the Week honors three times. He led all Pac-12 freshmen with an average of 12.6 points per game, including an average of 11.6 points in conference games. The guard finished the 2022-23 season second among Pac-12 freshmen in assists, and is 10th among freshmen in total rebounds.

A native of Oakley, Calif., Pope shot 42.3 percent from the floor and 37.7 percent from 3-point range.  He finished the season tied for first on Oregon State’s freshman scoring list, and set the program record for freshman 3-pointers.

Pope scored in double-figures in 23 of Oregon State’s 32 games last year. He set a season-best with 23 points against Portland State in November.

Pope will join fellow sophomore Tyler Bilodeau and head coach Wayne Tinkle at Pac-12 Media Day on Wednesday.
