PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS CELEBRATE WOMEN’S HISTORY THROUGHOUT MARCH

Including the Celebration of Women’s History game on March 13

PORTLAND, Ore. (March 5, 2025) – The Portland Trail Blazers are excited to celebrate Women’s History this March with a series of impactful activities in Rip City! From engaging with various female-focused nonprofits to hosting a Women’s Summit the month will be full of celebration.

Tipping off the month is a Restaurant Takeover on March 8 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at women-owned restaurant Kee’s #Loaded Kitchen. There fans can grab a bite on the Trail Blazers tab, pick up some swag and enter to win prizes including tickets to the celebration game on March 16.

On March 13 the Trail Blazers will host a Women’s Summit at The Ritz-Carlton, presented by Umpqua Bank. This sold-out event hosted by Trail Blazers Courtside Reporter Brooke Olzendam will feature conversations with legendary women in Oregon and the greater PNW sports industry, covering topics including breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry, equity and representation, career development and mentorship, and the future of women in sports. Speakers include:
• Dr. Courtney Watson – Portland Trail Blazers Director of Health and Player Performance and Head Athletic Trainer
• Karina LeBlanc – Executive Vice President of Strategic Growth Development for RAJ Sports (Portland Thorns/WNBA Portland)
• Shannon Boxx – 3x Olympic Gold Medal Winner and National Soccer Hall of Fame 2022 Inductee
• Nneka Ogumike – 9x WNBA All-Star, Seattle Storm Forward
• And many more!
On March 16 the Trail Blazers will host their Celebration of Women’s History game, presented by Coco-Cola, as the Blazers take on the Toronto Raptors. The night will be filled with celebratory activities, including a halftime scrimmage by an all-girls team from Adaptive Sports NW. The night will also highlight the Community Partner Girls Inc. of the PNW, whose mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold by focusing on holistic youth development.
