Softball to Host Eight Fall Games

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon softball program has scheduled eight fall ball games between Oct. 13-27, coach Melyssa Lombardi announced Thursday.

As in previous years, each game will have a charitable cause associated with it. All games will be played at Jane Sanders Stadium and are free and open to the public.

Oregon will host a triple-header on Sunday, Oct. 13 to open the fall season. Clackamas Community College and Southwestern Oregon Community College will play a neutral-site game at 10 a.m. The Ducks will face Clackamas at 12:30 p.m. and SWOCC at 3 p.m.

Oregon Tech will visit Eugene for a 10-inning game on Oct. 19. The next day, Oregon will play a doubleheader with Western Washington.

The Ducks will play another 10-inning game Oct. 23 against Western Oregon.

The fall season concludes Oct. 27 with a triple-header featuring Oregon, College of the Siskiyous and Southern Oregon.

Oregon went 30-21 a year ago and advanced to the NCAA Regional final for the fourth consecutive season.

As the Ducks prepare to move into the Big Ten Conference, the 2025 team will be led by last year’s national Gold Glove Award winner at shortstop Paige Sinicki (.282, 13-13 SB), as well as 2024 Pac-12 steals champion Kai Luschar (.410, 73 H, 27 SB) and Pac-12 all-freshman selection Katie Flannery (.253 overall; .340 in Pac-12 games). In the circle, Oregon brings back pitchers Elise Sokolsky (9-3, 2.59 ERA, 67 K, 31 BB) and Taylor Spencer (7-4, 2.94 ERA).

The fall will be the first opportunity for fans to get a look at the Ducks’ nationally-ranked freshman class (No. 16 according to Extra Inning Softball). The class includes three top-20 players – No. 6 Kaylynn Jones, an infielder from Lantana, Texas, No. 15 Rylee McCoy, an infielder from Agoura Hills, Calif., and No. 16 Elyse Kresho, an outfielder from Jasper, Ga. – as well as catcher Emma Cox (Thornton, Colo.), catcher/utility player Presley Lawton (Medford, Ore.), infielder Stefini Ma’ake (San Diego, Calif.) and pitcher Rowan Thompson (Salem, Ore.).

Oregon also brought in four impact transfers in pitchers Staci Chambers (Cal State Fullerton) and Lyndsey Grein (Virginia Tech), and infielders Dez Patmon (New Mexico State) and Kaila Pollard (Florida).
