PORTLAND – The Portland Timbers earned a 1-1 draw against Club América in the first leg of the quarterfinals in the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League at Providence Park on Wednesday night.

Portland battled back from a 1-0 deficit as Felipe Mora converted from the penalty spot in the 97th minute to secure a draw.
