Timbers to induct Club Legend Diego Valeri into Ring of Honor at home match against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, July 15

Valeri to participate in community event, Timbers’ training and media availabilities leading up to the match


The Portland Timbers will induct club legend Diego Valeri into the Ring of Honor on Saturday, July 15. Valeri will be recognized on the field prior to Saturday’s match against Columbus Crew SC at Providence Park in the unveiling of his name and will be presented the trophy to him during halftime. The former Timbers captain will be available to the media in the northwest corner of the field on the cement slab at approximately kick off time.

Valeri is also set to make a community appearance with the Latino Summer Network Program on Thursday, July 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Pacific) at Orenco Woods Nature Park. At the event, Valeri will engage with the youth at the event and hand out giveaways provided by the club’s Stand Together team.

Additionally, Valeri will attend the Timbers’ training on Friday, July 14, and will be available to the media at approximately 12 p.m. (Pacific).
