TIXR AND RIP CITY REMIX JOIN FORCES TO CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH WITH COURTSIDE TICKET DONATIONS TO BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

PORTLAND, OR AND SANTA MONICA, CA (February 13, 2024) – In celebration of Black History Month, Tixr, the world’s fastest-growing privately held primary ticketing and event commerce marketplace, is thrilled to announce a celebratory partnership with Portland’s Rip City Remix G League basketball team, dedicated to making a positive impact on the community. In the spirit of fostering inclusivity and recognizing the Black community, Tixr, and the Rip City Remix have collaborated to donate courtside tickets to Portland-based Black-owned businesses and community organizations for their game on February 27 at Chiles Center.

“Courtside tickets have long been symbolic of proximity to the heart of the action, and Tixr is committed to delivering unique and elevated experiences,” said Nate Liberman, Tixr’s Vice President of Sports. “Black-owned businesses continue to make a dynamic impact on the Portland community and we believe this is a fun way to recognize the contributions Portland’s Black business leaders have made to the Rip City community.”

Local Black-owned businesses can claim a pair of tickets on a first-come, first-served basis by contacting Natalie Abele, Rip City Remix Director of Partnerships, at natalie.abele@ripcity.com

“As we bring our Portland community together to host our inaugural Black History Month game, we are excited to collaborate with Tixr to celebrate local Black business leaders and nonprofits like Black Parent Initiative making an impact,” said Hannah Grauert, Rip City Remix President. “Fostering spaces of equity and inclusion are key to the success of any organization, making it crucial we recognize those leading the way in Rip City.”
