PORTLAND, Ore. (June 30, 2022) – The Portland Trail Blazers announced today their roster for the 2022 NBA Summer League that begins July 7 in Las Vegas.
The Trail Blazers roster features rookies Shaedon Sharpe (seventh overall pick) and Jabari Walker (57th overall pick) as well as second-year players Greg Brown III, Keon Johnson, Trendon Watford and Brandon Williams and third-year guard Didi Louzada. Portland’s Summer League entry will be coached by Trail Blazers assistant coach Steve Hetzel.
Portland’s July 7 summer opener will be played against Detroit at 9:00 p.m. PT as the second game of a nationally televised doubleheader on ESPN.
The 2022 NBA Summer League will feature all 30 NBA teams playing five games each. After their opening game, the Trail Blazers will play on Saturday, July 9 against New Orleans, Monday, July 11 against New York and Thursday, July 14 against Houston. After every team plays four games from July 7-15, the two teams with the best records from the first four games will meet in the Championship Game on Sunday, July 17 at 12:00 p.m. PT on ESPN. The tiebreak criteria to determine the participants in the Championship Game are available here. The 28 teams that do not play in the Championship Game will play a fifth game on July 16 or July 17.
