EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves announced the Ducks’ 2024-25 nonconference schedule on Monday, highlighted by nine games at Matthew Knight Arena in November and December.
In addition to the first four home and an exhibition contest, which were announced last week, the Ducks will welcome Grand Canyon (Nov. 18), Auburn (Nov. 20), Washington State (Dec. 4), Air Force (Dec. 17) and UC Irvine (Dec. 19) to Eugene.
Thanksgiving week sees the Ducks fly west for the Hawai’i North Shore Showcase in Laie, Hawai’i. There, UO will meet Georgia Tech on Monday, Nov. 25 and close the three-team tournament the following day against South Dakota State.
GCU makes the return trip to Matthew Knight Arena after the Ducks and Lopes met in Phoenix last season, with UO earning a 64-56 victory. Fans will see a familiar foe when WSU comes to town, as the former conference rivals will meet for the 94th time in December. Oregon holds a 71-22 lead in a series that dates back to 1974.
Oregon and Auburn will meet for the first time since 1990, and just the third time ever, on Nov. 20. UO and Air Force will play for the second time after the Ducks defeated the Falcons in 2018 in Eugene, while UC Irvine also travels to Eugene for the first time since 2018.
In total, UO’s nonconference slate features five teams that qualified for last season’s NCAA Tournament in Auburn, Baylor, California Baptist, South Dakota State and UC Irvine.
The Ducks’ Big Ten schedule will be announced at a later date, as will start times and broadcast information. In May, the Big Ten Conference office revealed UO’s league opponents and locations for its inaugural season in the conference.
