Contest Rules FOX SPORTS EUGENE Cash Giveaway

NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING. Eligibility Unless otherwise stated in the specific contest rules, entrants must be at least 18 years old and legal residents of the United States, living or working in the Eugene metro survey area (as defined by Nielsen Audio). A winner will be disqualified if he/she or a member of his/her household has won a FOX SPORTS EUGENE contest with a value over $25.00 within the previous 60 days. Winners will also be disqualified if they or a member of their household have won a prize or prize package valued at One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or greater in the past 365 days. Employees (including their immediate families and members of the same household) of FOX SPORTS EUGENE, KORE Broadcasting, LLC, its affiliates, promotion sponsors, prize providers, advertising and promotional agencies who do business with FOX SPORTS EUGENE or any of the promotion sponsors/prize providers, and other radio stations in the Eugene metro survey area are not eligible to participate. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians, children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws.” Unless otherwise stated, there is a limit of one entry per household; multiple entries will disqualify the entrant. Void where prohibited. 

ON-AIR CONTESTS ONLY:

Online listeners to the FOX SPORTS EUGENE web stream may experience a reception delay of up to one minute. Listening to the station’s over-the-air broadcast is the only way to participate in this contest. Winner/caller qualification is subject to FULL phone call completion, and the verification of the caller’s name, address, home phone number, work/cell phone number and valid Driver’s License or state-issued ID, all of which must be provided prior to completion of the call. Contest calls will not be accepted at any phone number other than the one specified by the cue to call. If caller gets disconnected for any reason before their name and phone number have been recorded, another call will be taken to determine the winner/qualifier. 

Prizes

Unless otherwise stated, or where winners are chosen at the Station’s discretion, odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Daily Prize winners will receive either (1) one Visa Gift Card valued at ($25) twenty-five US-Dollars or, (1) one Gift Certificate to Videogame Headquarters in Springfield, Oregon at a non-cash value of ($25) twenty-five US-Dollars of in-store credit or, (1) one Gift Certificate to A & J Sports Cards in Eugene, Oregon at a non-cash value of ($25) twenty-five US-Dollars of in-store credit. The Daily Prize a winner receives will be determined at the discretion of FOX SPORTS EUGENE. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash. FOX SPORTS EUGENE reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value. Winners may not request prize substitution. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be claimed or used by any person other than the winner. Taxes, gratuities and all other incidentals are the sole responsibility of the winner. If the prize is lost or misplaced by the winner after it is claimed, FOX SPORTS EUGENE is not obligated to provide an alternate prize. Grand Prize Winners will be chosen at random from the list of all Daily Prize winners compiled between 3/28/24 and 6/7/24 One Grand Prize winner will receive a check in the amount of ($1,050) one thousand and fifty US-Dollars. A second Grand Prize winner will receive a Gift Certificate to Videogame Headquarters in Springfield, Oregon with a non-cash value of ($1,029) one thousand and twenty nine dollars of in-store credit. The Grand Prize Winners will be chosen on 6/11/24. Grand Prize Winners will be notified using the contact information provided at the time the winner won a Daily Prize. If a Grand Prize Winner is chosen and the provided contact information was not Valid, the entry will be ruled ineligible and another Grand Prize Winner will be chosen. Unless an earlier date is specified in the rules, all prizes must be claimed within (30) thirty days of the date won or the prize will be forfeited. Office hours are Monday through Friday 10am-Noon and 1pm-5pm, but may close early before holidays. Please call 458-201-8099 to confirm that the office is open before attempting to claim prize. If approved by FOX SPORTS EUGENE in advance and subject to completion of all required paperwork, winners may appoint someone to pick up their prize for them. If they do so, that person must present a copy of the prize winner's VALID, GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID or the prize cannot be released. All prizes MUST be picked up at the FOX SPORTS EUGENE offices during business office hours unless otherwise noted.

Release

By entering the contest, all participants release and hold harmless the promotion sponsors, FOX SPORTS EUGENE, KORE Broadcasting, LLC., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability and any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest and any prize won. Winners (and their guests, if any) will be required to sign an affidavit and liability/publicity release, releasing FOX SPORTS EUGENE and its affiliated companies from all liability in connection with the contest and the award and use of the prize, before claiming the prize.

FOX SPORTS EUGENE undertakes no liability or responsibility, and makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the performance of any prize(s) awarded, for any failure to perform or negligent performance of any service provider, or for any other risk, incident or damage, direct or indirect, relating to or arising out of the contest, including (but not limited to) cancellations, postponements, delays or other scheduling changes; missed events or connections or inability of winner to attend; and accident, injury, death, damage or expense arising from or occurring during the use of the prize, or travel to/from or attendance at any event relating to the contest, by the winner and/or winner’s guest(s). FOX SPORTS EUGENE is not responsible for damage to a prize or loss of a prize after the prize has been claimed. Winners must inspect their prizes before leaving the station. FOX SPORTS EUGENE is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failure or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network or other telecommunications connections, or lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, disconnected, or delayed contest entries or communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the execution of the contest. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of FOX SPORTS EUGENE, station management reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest and/or determine an alternate method of awarding the prize(s). 

License

Entry into any contest constitutes full permission for FOX SPORTS EUGENE and promotion sponsors/prize providers and their respective affiliates to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the participant's name, voice, recorded comments, biographical information, face and likeness, in any medium, without compensation. 

Taxes

If required by applicable law, FOX SPORTS EUGENE will report the total value of each prize to the IRS and will furnish winners with a federal Form 1099. This includes both Grand Prize winners. Grand Prize winners must provide their social security number to FOX SPORTS EUGENE for tax reporting purposes. Winners are solely responsible for payment of all taxes incurred as a result of the award of a prize. 

General

Failure to conform to all contest rules, or any fraud or other illegal or inappropriate conduct on the part of a contestant or on a contestant’s behalf, will result in the contestant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize won. FOX SPORTS EUGENE reserves the right to rule ineligible listeners who, in FOX SPORTS EUGENE‘S sole judgment, engage in abusive conduct with respect to any contest or promotion conducted by FOX SPORTS EUGENE or its affiliates. FOX SPORTS EUGENE reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify this Contest and these Official Rules at any time, which changes will become effective upon announcement. By taking part in this contest, participants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of the judges, who are employees of FOX SPORTS EUGENE and whose decisions with respect to all aspects of the contest are final and binding. Copies of written contest rules and, where required by law, the list of winners are available during regular business hours at the FOX SPORTS EUGENE studio, Delta Triad Building, 1144 Willagillespie Rd, Suite 34 , Eugene, OR 97401, for 60 days after the contest concludes. As a condition to participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Eugene, Oregon, having competent jurisdiction, which court shall apply the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to the conflicts of law principles thereof. The entrant and FOX SPORTS EUGENE hereby waive any and all right to trial by jury. 

If any provision of these Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law.
